Standard TTE views

I remember when I started learing full echo feeling bewildered in knowing what I should do once I had obtained each view (I had previously learned how to obtain the basic 4 views from focussed scanning). The following pages are to get a beginner in echo started in knowing what to look for, record and measure in each view. Practical Echocardiography

The main views are:
PLAX - parasternal long axis
PSAX - parasternal short axis
A4C - apical 4 Chamber
A5C
A2C
A3C (apical long axis)
Subcostal

Additional views are:
PRVI - parasternal right ventricular inflow
PRVO - parasternal right ventricular outflow
Suprasternal
